Some Area Beaches Still Have High Bacteria Counts, Swimming Not Recommended
July 1, 2006 – 5:34 amIf your holiday weekend plans included swimming in Lake Erie, you’ll want to be sure that the beach you were planning on going to isn’t still under a High Bacteria Count
The following area beaches have tested OK for swimming this weekend:
- Huntington Beach
- Edgewater Park
- Fairport Harbor Beach
These beaches are still experiencing high counts of bacteria and can cause illness in swimmers:
- East and West Headlands Beach
- Lakeview Beach
- Villa Angela
- Euclid Beach
Have a Happy and Safe 4th of July weekend, and don’t let “tainted” waters slow you down!
