Saint Patrick’s Day Parade – Cleveland, Ohio 2009
March 12, 2009 – 7:57 amWith Saint Patrick’s Day just around the corner, now is the time to start planning for the Greenest Day of the Year.
This is the 142nd year the Irish Parade has closed the streets of downtown Cleveland for a bit of revelry.
The parade kicks off at 1:04 PM at the Superior Ave. and East 18th St. intersection and travels southwest on Superior Ave. to East Roadway for a block and then heads northeast on Rockwell Ave. It ends at the intersection of Rockwell Ave. and East 6th St.
Since Cleveland weather is always unpredictable and the cold hasn’t seemed to have “snapped” quite yet, don’t leave the house without your hat and gloves and arrive early!
Many downtown restaurants and bars will be open to serve fare and of course, green beer.
If you’re unable to attend, the parade will be videocast live on TWC’s Northeast Ohio Network N.E.O.N. (Ch. 23 -Cleveland
Ch. 22 – Avon and Mentor) beginning at 1:00 PM.
