First we said “Goodbye” to The Gund Arena in favor of the “Quicken Loans Arena” and now Jacob’s Field has the same fate.

What we’ve all known and come to love as “The Jake” is going to be renamed “The Progressive Field.”

The title is the result of a long term deal between the Indians and Progressive Insurance. There has been no word about the money involved, but the deal will reportedly last 15 years.

Progressive Insurance and The Cleveland Indians have a press conference scheduled for 11:30
AM today.

What are your thoughts on the name change at Jacob’s Field?
