Brady Quinn is eager to be the Brown’s new quarterback, and he’s eager to display his throwing prowess. So eager, in fact, that some say he’s actually overthrowing the ball. “Some of us were laughing, the way he was showing his arm off,” said receiver Josh Cribbs.

“He does have a fresh arm,” said cornerback Leigh Bodden. Even Romeo Crennel had to comment on the manner in which Quinn was firing the ball.

“Basically, he was like a young colt that has been tied up in the barn for a while,” Crennel said. “He was excited and frisky to be out there running around. He was the first guy out to practice and just excited to be able to throw the ball.”

Quinn has been taking some heat about his early performance on and off the field, but he seems to be reacting to the ribbing well. In fact, it’s hard to criticize anyone for wanting a job they way he seems to be now. The Browns can certainly use that kind of fire on the field when the regular season starts.
