Cedar Point’s newest ride, The Maverick has been closed until at least early June due to problems related to its’ rail. The coaster is 4,400 feet long and has the steepest hill of any rollercoaster in the amusement park.

A 360 degree turn on the track was causing undue stress to the trains and had to be replaced. The designers of the ride are now int the midst of reconfiguring the coaster, sans the stressing turn.

Once the Maverick is operational, safety officials from Ohio will have to inspect and approve the ride before guests can lose their lunch. LOL.

UPDATE! The Maverick is now open for business!
