I have to say that I was very impressed with the generosity and the professionalism Braylon Edwards has recently displayed.

The wide receiver for the Cleveland Browns donated 1 million dollars to award 100 Cleveland Municipal School District students academic scholarships for college. Requirements for
being selected include maintaining a grade point average of 2.5 or better, have at least 15 hours of community service each year, good behavior and no unexcused absences. The chosen students will also receive mentoring and tutoring through the Braylon Edwards ADVANCE 100 program.

He also donated $500,000 to his college Alma Mater, the University of Michigan athletics department.

I think it’s wonderful that this young man is giving back to his community and displays wisdom beyond his years. In a recent interview Braylon Edwards discussed his interest in philanthropy, education and rap music - of which he had nothing negative to say. ;)

Hopefully his positive vibe will spread through the entire Brown’s team and lead them to a winning season!
