There has not been much to cheer about for Browns fans since 1999, but that might have changed with what could be the best draft the team has had in years. Their first round picks were excellent, and could go a long way towards changing the face of the organization for years to come. The team is 36-112 since they returned to the league, so something desperately needs to be done.

Joe Thomas might have been the most obvious choice the Browns have made in years. Of course they need a stud lineman, and nearly everyone picks stud lineman high in the draft. The fact that they were able to land a quarterback the caliber of Quinn Brady in the same round might just be the stuff that legends are made of.
What the Browns got from this draft:
- An almost sure-shot Pro Bowl style offensive lineman who will only get bigger and better
- A young quarterback with very few weaknesses
Brady has the type of strong arm which will make defense respect him, and Joe Thomas has awe-inspiring size, as well as being an Academic All American. He should have no trouble learning the pro game. Together, they could dominate for years.
What do you think of this year’s draft? Are you excited about the upcoming season?
