If you have a flight scheduled out of Cleveland Hopkins airport, it might be a good idea to arrive a little earlier to allow time for security checks.
Due to the foiled terrorist attack on several US bound airplanes, Hopkins and almost all other airports have implemented tighter security and disallowed a number of items from being carried onto a plane in your carry on.
The following items aren’t permissable past security checkpoints:
1. Beverages. Even if they are bought at the airport.
2. Perfume and Cologne
3. Toothpaste
4. Skin lotion and/or Sunscreen
5. Hair Gel
6. Shampoo
Passengers are encouraged to arrive at least 2 hours prior to their departure to assure passage through security. At this time, the FAA reports that there are short delays of about 15 minutes on flights leaving CLE.
