This Saturday, you can have a good time and help a worthy cause by attending the the Great Lakes Burning River Fest, taking place at Wendy Park on Whiskey Island.

The mission of this festival is to educate families about the importance of a clean and healthy environment through interactive programs, music and art.

This one day festival takes place from 11:00 AM to 8 PM and features a full line up of entertainment including live band performances all day. Here’s the lineup..

* Steve Madewell: 11:00am-12:15pm
* Whiskey Island Ramblers: 12:30pm-1:45pm
* JP & the Chatfield Boys: 2:00pm-3:15pm
* Roberto Ocasio’s Latin Jazz Project: 3:30pm-4:45pm
* Joe Rohan: 5:00pm-6:15pm
* Carlos Jones & the PLUS Band: 6:30pm-7:45pm
* Francis Quinn & Friends: featured during breaks

Admission for this event is $7.00 for ages 11 and above, 10 and under are free.

Since this event is about our environment, carpooling is strongly recommended!
