Heat Advisories Continue

The mercury in Northeast Ohio has been way up the last few days and is expected to stick around for another day or so. A heat advisory continues and residents are advised to limit their exposure to sun, to drink plenty of water and if possible, seek shelter in air conditioning.
Lake Erie still remains under a swimming advisory, so seeking relief in the lakes waters isn’t a safe option for cooling down.
The burning heat is especially dangerous for children, pets and the elderly. If your animals are outdoors, make sure they have plenty of water and someplace to rest in the shade. If your kids are playing outside, make sure that they are drinking plenty of water to prevent heat exhaustion or other related illnesses. If you know an elderly person, make a phone call or pay them a visit to make sure that they are all right.
Be a good neighbor and play it safe for the next day or two.. hopefully the heat will break soon!
