I was reading the Cleveland PD yesterday and noticed that Destination One was advertising in the “National” section of the paper.

(If you haven’t already heard,
Destination One is a new charter plane service
that will offer flights out of Burke Lakefront Airport.)

They were offering introductory fares of $99.00 +tax one-way to Detroit (Coleman A. Young Airport) for a half an hour flight. One way to Cinci is $129.00 +tax and lands at Lunken Airport, this flight takes about an hour and 10 minutes.

I read a few warnings about charter services and it’s worth noting that flights can be changed or cancelled without notice due to weather conditions or other circumstances. The fine print (in the PD) also spells out that tickets are non-refundable.

I was unable to find many references to this company other than their ticket sales website at Fly Destination One. They did however boldly display their TOS and cancellation policies for consumers to read before handing over a credit card number, so that’s fair. Time will tell on whether they are successful or not.

In the meantime, I’d love to hear feedback from anyone that has used Destination Air.. How was your experience?
