It’s hard to believe that August is just a day or two away.

That means it won’t be long until the Cleveland National Air Show takes place at Burke Lakefront Airport in downtown Cleveland on September 2, 3 and 4, 2006.

This is an awesome display of aviation technology featuring aerial shows from the US Navy Blue Angels, and Saturday will feature the first (and only!) appearance of the 1st Fighter Wing F-22 Raptor Fighter Jet in Cleveland. This jet looks like serious business.

Visitors will get the chance to take a look inside (and even tour) a number of different aircrafts. There are a number of educational displays, interactive displays, and even rock wall climbing. There are a number of food vendors that include handmade lemonade, onion rings and other fair fare.

This is one of my favorite annual events in Cleveland and I’ve learned from experience to bring a blanket or folding chairs because looking into the sky gets tiring after a while :)
