Wind Power at The Great Lakes Science Center
June 9, 2006 – 3:02 pmThe wind turbine was fired up for energy generation at The Great Lakes Science Center in downtown Cleveland.
This wind turbine, the first of it’s kind in the Cleveland area , will provide about 7 percent of the Science Centers needed electricity.
This turbine is almost as high as the Cleveland Browns Stadium, at 150 feet tall.
I think this is a nice step in the right direction. Looking for alternative ways to meet the energy needs of Clevelander’s can’t be a bad thing. I’m happy that the Science Center is leading the way in electrical innovation.
