Dinner at Smokey Bones, North Olmsted

Last night we decided to go out for dinner and try someplace we’ve never been before.
After doing some research on the internet we picked Smokey Bones, a relatively new concept restaurant in North Olmsted that offers primarily BBQ ribs, chicken and beef.
We chose the Spinach Dip for an appetizer, iced tea for drinks and a Lodge Salad for dinner.
The base price for the salads was 8.99 without meat. Chicken and Shrimp are available for an additional charge. The salads were huge and we walked out with leftovers for later. By now we should know that we can never finish our entrees if we have an appetizer.

There were a few things that made this a nice dining experience. Everyone was friendly and none of the workers complained. Our waiter was one of the “happiest” people I’ve come into contact with lately. When we asked him how he was doing, he didn’t say anything stupid like
“I’d be better if I wasn’t here.”
The manager took time to ask a few patrons how everything was and if they were satisfied with their meal. This simple gesture goes a long way in my book.
When we left, 4 workers said “goodbye” and told us to have a nice night.
We both enjoyed our experience at Smokey Bones, and will likely eat there again.
