Speed Traps in Cleveland?

If you live anywhere in the Northeast corridor of Ohio, you can’t help but notice the amazing numbers of Law Enforcement that target mainly motorists.
The highway that we use most often is I-480, and there has never been a day
that we’ve drove it without passing at least 5 police cars. The stretch of highway
“owned” by Fairview Park is probably about the worst. There is ALWAYS someone pulled over, on a really good day, you might have someone on both the Eastbound and Westbound lanes. I don’t know exactly how many people get pulled over in any given day, but I’m guessing it’s a lot.
Don’t be surprised if you see them set up shop underneath highway bridges.
One of the dumber places you can see them “sitting” is on off ramps.
Between the highway and the road leading to it. This (to me) seems VERY dangerous. Not only to motorists, but to the police as well. Are they looking to get hit or what?
More importantly, don’t they have real police work to do?
