Mittal to honor steel industry in Cleveland, Ohio

March 7, 2006 – 4:58 pm

Located in a shopping mall at the site of the new Steelyard Commons will be a museum to show the impact of steel in Cleveland.

Mittal says the steel heritage exhibits will include a turn-of-the-century brick building used as a place for workers to punch in and out and a railroad car once used to transport molten steel.

Something like this is always helpful to a community. Not only will the project focus on the future, but it will take a look back at how Cleveland came up in the steel industry. Public projects that incorporate the past as well as glancing forward are bound to be good for the neighborhood.
