Build something already! Cleveland needs some new buildings

When you travel anywhere these days like Las Vegas or Miami, or even closer to home in Westlake and Beachwood, you see construction cranes everywhere. Apparently the towns have down a great deal of economic development, and you don’t see much evidence of it in Cleveland.
Cleveland is long overdue for some big building projects that could inject new life in the town. I know a number are planned, and I applaud each and every effort. The word for Cleveland I fear is “moribund” and any sign that the city still has a heartbeat has to be good for business.
I know it’s too much to hope that the city actually would tear down some eyesore buildings and do redevelopments, but it makes the most sense of all. There are so many buildings that are not only not in use, but are actually unusable as well. These buildings just shout “Run Down” in a highly visual way. Any steps to improve the city should be well received by a progressive administration.
