What a pleasure it’s been watching a Romeo Crennel coached Cleveland Browns team this year. Butch Davis was painful to watch, especially as it came to managing the clock. Crennel is different. Even with a 3 point lead, you get the impression that this man knows what he’s doing, and the lead can be protected. With Davis, a 48 point lead was not enough to make you feel calm.

It’s early in the season but us Brown’s fans can clearly see a difference in how the team operates. They play with a lot more spirit, and they appear to be a lot more disciplined. With last year’s team it was not uncommon to see players arguing with each other on the sidelines. That type of thing seems unlikely in the Crennel era.

We also have to say that the beloved GM, Phil Savage is a big upgrade to Davis. Crennel and Savage have teamed up to pick some promising players. It’s not inconceivable that a Cleveland Brown will actually play in the Pro Bowl this year. It’s still early in the season, but this fan is enjoying the new Romeo Crennel era with the Browns.
