What a great Saturday!
My parents came to visit us, and Dad brought the powerwasher. He and D did a very nice job of cleaning the outside of the house, and an even better job on our concrete deck. I didn’t realize how gross it was until I saw the difference that a power wash made. They put bleach in it and it is now a nice original looking white.

While they were cleaning, Mom and I went to find patio furniture. Since they brought the truck, it made it easy to find what we wanted and bring it home. We found a really nice cast aluminum patio set on sale for $349.00 at Wal-Mart. it was the last one left of its style. It was $450.00 originally so a nice $100.00 savings. They didn’t have umbrellas or umbrella stands so we ended up getting those at Home Depot. They had their summer furniture on sale for 40% off, so we got a $99.00 umbrella for $46.00 and THE LAST umbrella stand for $15.00.
So it was a good bargain shopping day.

Before we found the awesome umbrella at Home Depot, we stopped at Litehouse. Not for long though. They had a lot of really nice patio furniture, but it was very pricy. One patio set cost more than $2,000.00! The cheapest umbrella they had there was $150.00 and the stand, an additional $60.00. I sat on a nice glider chair, but it was $800.00. So it was a nice sit, and that was it.

I cooked shish kabobs on the grill, some veggie burgers and roasted potatos for dinner. It ended up being a really nice summer day! One we’ll have to do again sometime soon.

Over and Out! (as mom would say)
