Cash America recently announced that they will be closing all of their retail branches in Ohio. Cash America is a Payday lender that issues 2 week loans to consumers with an extraordinary interest
rate of 391%.

The company made the announcement on the heels of a bill being passed in the Ohio Senate that prohibits the lending practice in the Buckeye state. The bill must be approved by the Ohio House, but it’s expected that this will easily pass. Ohio Governor Ted Strickland said he supports the bill.

What are your thoughts on payday lending? Will the closure of these short term lenders change the way that you live?

Papa John’s 23 Cent Pizza

May 8, 2008 – 2:02 pm

If you’re a Cav’s fan looking to cash in on the Papa John’s 23 cent pizza deal, you better plan ahead and expect to stand in line.

I just drove past the Papa John’s pizza store on Lorain Avenue in North Olmsted and there was a line at least 100 people deep to get their hands on a large 1 item pizza for less than a quarter.

Although it sounds like a great deal, finding the time to stand in line doesn’t sound like an efficient use of time.. Someone else can have my .23 Papa John pizza today… be sure to wear a jacket, because it’s chilly!

Eight other Ohio State Parks will be adding wi-fi over the next three years, so if you just can’t leave that laptop behind for a weekend in nature, you don’t have to.
